Oaktree City - Furnishing Scheme!
Oaktree City is happy to introduce the new Council Property Scheme which allows for players who live in a council property to be paid for moving. Players who live in a council property primarily will be able to be paid £500 every time they move from their property as long as they leave all furnishings behind akin to them having lived in the property.
>
> When a player who lives in a council home customises their property it helps the city look more alive, so we want to expand this across the world which means anyone who lives in a council home for 1 IRL month will have the option to move to another council property or their own property and when leaving if they keep all former furnishings they will be paid.
> *This scheme also allows for players to move from council property to property each month to earn a steady £500 as long as the property is lived in fully for 1 month.*
Players who cannot get a council property will now be eligible regardless of position in the world!
Oaktree Land Zone's
Coming to Oaktree today is new Land Zone Types for buying and using land, this update aims to regulate the height of structures and improve continuity of land and structures within the world.
This update adds the following Zones:
Highrise - Structures are required to be above a certain height and below the max limit determined per lot.
Midrise - Structures cannot be built above a certain height limit imposed per plot of land. No min limit.
Lowrise - Structures cannot be built above a certain limit set per land area and Highrise / Skyscraper buildings are prohibited.
No-Zone - For building structures from dedicated farms, to factories and anything else with usual world limitations.
The enforcement of the zone types will vary based on area and will remain lenient.
For more information on the new Zones just ask in game and details can be provided! Please also note that pre-existing buildings will be zoned but unaffected by these changes.
Introducing "Council Plus"
Council Plus is the new Oaktree Council Housing Scheme which allows for players to pay for a larger property in Oaktree which normally wouldn't be available as a council house.
When a property has the tag (Council Plus) on the for sale sign, players can aquire or transfer their council property to the new property with a £1000 fee.
This gives players who are part of council housing the option to have a larger starting apartment, house or maybe land.
Along with above we are introducing "Transferring" This is where players who have a council property can move their council location to another property an unlimited number of times per year allowing for greater diversity and movement to newer and better council properties.
Decay, Decayence and Absence
For Cherry City players i beg you not to fear over the title.
I promise it will not be like before.
Today introduces a old system, much hated in the past by the players of Cherry City and formally known as the decayence system.
The Decayence system is a world "event" where property will appear to age with time, with the introduction of this system in Oaktree things will be working differently.
Introducing Absence
In Conjunction with the Decayence system, Absence will be a new system designed to reduce player property and horded items of those people who have not played for an extended stretch of time.
Here is how the new system will work!
Stage 1: If a player remains absent for 2 months since they last played the world for at least 1hr they will enter absence mode. This stage will begin the decayence system on their property and lights will be cut / extinguished.
Stage 2: If a player does not return by the 3 month mark, all property belonging to the player will be listed for sale and businesses will close / end. Owned Property will become "Abandoned" Although the player can reclaim property for free if unsold by returning before the 4th month of inactivity. When Stage 2 is achieved any player may take any item from your "Abandoned Property" regardless of value apart from any In world money or documents which must be left.
Stage 3: If a player does not return after 4 months, all property will be permanently lost, all money will be lost and your character reset to world starter. Players who reached Stage 3 will be treated as new players. (Exceptions) This system can be stopped and is decided based on estimates.
There is a way to stop this!
If a player knows they will be not playing for a period of time and can provide a reason into why, the city can accept or deny the claim and the decayence system will not be activated for the player.
